An uplifting song-learning workshop for all, held in the beautiful natural surroundings of Whittle Dene woodland. The workshop will be directed by whi Beccy Owen, and is taking place in collaboration with The Woodland Trust.
Brimming with songs appropriate to a nature-filled, outdoor setting, this will be a fun and informal workshop followed by an optional group 'sharing/performance' with the trees as our audience.
You do not need to have any previous singing experience and all are welcome to join in - whatever you age, gender, background, or perceived musical ability!
~About Beccy~
Beccy has been facilitating group singing for over two decades, having trained as a Community Musician as part of the Sage Gateshead's Apprenticeship and with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama's IGNITE! programme.
A great deal of her work has involved encouraging people to explore, accept and work with their own singing voice - and how to surpass their own expectations and limiting beliefs.
